Resume Development

Today's job market requires that you have a resume and cover letter that showcases your unique skills.  In order to effectively market yourself to a potential employer, we must create your "brand" by identifying your "value proposition" - your unique theme or message that must be consistent throughout your resume and cover letter, and answers the question, "Why should we hire you?"

Your resume needs to incorporate both Hard and Soft Skills.  Hard skills are learned skills (safety training courses, certifications, proficiency with tools, computer programs, typing)  Soft skills are personality skills (team oriented, attention to detail, emphathetic, willingness to learn, kind, courteous, problem solving ability) Employers look for both sets of skills!

It is very important that you target your resume to the company to which you are applying.  In order for your resume to get through an ATS (Applicant Tracking System), you will need to ensure that your resume contains key words that a particular company is looking for in your resume.  I will ensure that your resume and cover letter are tailored to your specific needs and the requirements of the position to which you are applying!
